Tanya is a local who grew up in Carlsbad before going off to the University of South Mississippi on a full ride softball scholarship. Tanya comes to us with a decorated collegiate career from 1999 – 2002. She played her freshman year at the University of Southern Mississippi where she competed  in the 1999 Division 1 women’s College World Series. South Mississippi  finished ranked 8th in the nation.


Tanya returned to California for her sophomore season in 2000 where she helped Palomar college win a State Championship.


Her final two years of undergraduate were spent at California State University Northridge. There she was named team captain of the nationally ranked team and was named All-Big West Scholar-Athlete.


Tanya started her collegiate coaching career in 2003 at Los Angeles Valley Community College. In 2006, she was hired at California State university San Marcos for their inaugural season. In her seven years at Cal State, Tanya has coached pitchers, utility infielders, hitting, and strength & conditioning for the Cougars.


Besides coaching softball, Tanya has worked as a strength & conditioning coach for the past 10 years. Tanya works with professional athletes, general population, youth, and collegiate athletes. Her passion and focus is to help clients move better, feel better and perform better.

Marq Taylor

Coach Taylor spent twenty years in the United States Navy with multiple combat tours retiring in 2007. He has over 20 years of playing and coaching experience from youth leagues to college summer. Coach Taylor has a degree in Management and lives in Escondido. He also has a daughter (7) and son (5). Coach Taylor is looking forward to being a member of the Ranch Bernardo High School Baseball Program.
